Vanquish the shadows of London in Vermillion Watch: Moorgate Accord

Vermillion Watch: Moorgate Accord is a captivating hidden object puzzle adventure published by Big Fish games. Set against the backdrop of fin-de-siècle London, the story revolves around the activities of a band of defenders who are dedicated to banishing the city's shadows and restoring the balance between good and evil.

The strange case of Ernest Hawkes

Players take on the role of the next-of-kin of the aristocratic Ernest Hawkes, who has recently passed away. The narrative revolves around finding out the buried secrets that Uncle Hawkes has taken with him to his deathbed, starting from within the walls of the aristocratic family residence and eventually spreading out the investigation to far corners of darkest London. A nice touch is the fact that Vermillion Watch is layered with the appearance of famous fictional and pseudo-historical figures of the period, including Sherlock Holmes and Phileas Fogg.

An adventure through the slums of the nineteenth-century metropolis

Vermillion Watch: Moorgate Accord is a stunning reimagination of the late-Victorian Gothic genre, combining lush graphics and a captivating narrative. The puzzles are fairly challenging, though some HOPA veterans may well complete the game speedily.

PROS

  • Compelling story with plenty of replay value.
  • Truly stunning visuals and overall aesthetic.

CONS
